Paulos tours also offers Private tours in Riga. On the tour you will have your own guide and transportation. We will pick you up from the port, your hotel or the airport. We can tailor the tour according to your wishes. All the cars have full air-conditioning. Let me know what tour would you be interested in, how many persons are travelling with you and how long you are staying in Riga and we can help organise everything for you. Tours can be in English, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian and Russian. We use official local guides from Riga and fully trained drivers.

Classic Riga Old Town and Art Nouveau district - 4 Hours

The guide will be waiting for you at the port and will have a sign with your name and a private car waiting for you. The tour starts with a drive along the impressive Art Nouveau district with a stop at its gem - Albert street. Riga is proud of its magnificent heritage of Art Nouveau architecture. It was included in the UNESCO World Heritage list by virtue of the outstanding quality and quantity of Art Nouveau buildings, which is unparalleled anywhere in the world. Decorated with various symbols and mythological characters, each building tells us a different story. Next we drive along the central boulevards of Riga, enjoying the view of the City Canal Parks, the Bastion Hill, the Powder Tower, the Latvian National Theatre, the Fine Arts Museum, the Freedom Monument, University of Latvia, Latvian National Opera House and the Daugava River. During the walking part of the tour you will enjoy the beauty of the ancient Hanseatic City, picturesque streets of the Old Town, the House of Blackheads, the Dome Cathedral, the Church of St. Peter, the old Guild Houses, the Swedish Gate, St. Jacob's Church, St. Mary Magdalene's Church, the Parliament House and Old Riga Castle. You will also have some free time. This tour is mostly walking conformable shoes will be a good idea.

Drive to the quiet Kipsala island in the center of Riga where we are going to see wooden houses and stunning views of the Old Town and port. You will have free time for lunch or just to have a coffee. Then we will drive to the Latvian Open Air Museum (entrance included) where we can see the lives of the ancient Latvian farmers and fishermen, discover the houses, trade mills and bathhouses used by ancient Latvians and learn about Latvian culture. You will finish the tour in the amazing Old Town of Riga! Explore Latvian castles and nature in the medieval Sigulda - 6 Hours

Your guide and driver will meet you at the port. The tour starts with a drive along the impressive Art Nouveau district with a stop at its gem - Albert street.  Next you will drive to Sigulda - one of the most beautiful towns in Latvia! First you visit Livonian Order Sigulda Castle (entrance included). The castle was built in the Middle Ages and is a great place for taking a walk around the walls of the castle and a look at the exhibits that are on display. You can try the Siguldas Cable car (optional) - the only cable car in the Baltics. It travels 42 metres above ground and links the two banks of the River Gauja. It overlooks an amazing landscape which contains three mighty castles, a bobsleigh track, and a view of the ancient valley of the Gauja which can be seen for miles and miles. Short stop at Gutman's Cave - the biggest cave in the Baltics - a grotto which has been shaped by the current of the River Gauja and by underground springs, making it an ancient cult site and the source of a great many legends. Visiting Turaida Museum Reserve (entrance included) - which includes the Folk Song Park, Turaida Manor, Turaida Church and church hill and Turaida Castle which was built in the thirteenth century. You can enjoy some free time for lunch or shopping and then we will return back to the port.
